Braised Pork Belly with Eggs Recipe

The pork belly is super soft and melts in my mouth, so it always takes a long time to cook it. This is a very popular dish in Asian countries and it is also one of my favorite dishes and totally flavourful.

Ingredients:

  • Pork feet, egg, tofu
  • bamboo shoot, garlic, five-spice powder, star anise,
  • Oyster sauce, Chicken powder, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and chili powder

Directions

First, we slice bamboo shoot, pork feet, garlic, and tofu into small pieces that are easy to bite.

Then we heat the bowl over medium heat, then add cooking oil. Add chopped garlic, five-spice powder, and star anise into the oil and start the stir fry them until sizzle to make the dish smell real good.

In the wok, we add pork feet and marinate them with oyster sauce, soy sauce, chicken powder, sugar, and a little bit dark soy sauce to make it look darker.

Stir fry the meat with medium heat for 2 minutes to let it fully mixed the flavor or until the meat is 50% cooked. Then add water, close the cover, and let it boil for 6-10 minutes until the meat is well cooked and become soft.

After that, add hard-boiled eggs, tofu, and bamboo shoot, then close the cover again to let them cooked.

Taste for seasoning and add more sugar if you love the sweet taste. Dish out and enjoy eating it with rice.
